Julian Plenti - “Games For Days”

I’ve been enjoying the new Julian Plenti for a few weeks now. The eagerly anticipated solo debut of Interpol’s Paul Banks, titled Julian Plenti… Is Skyscraper, is simply amazing and certainly lived up to the hype. Thoughtful & soulful, Banks waxes poetic over deep progressive beats, layered grooves, & interesting compilations. It’s becoming increasingly rare to find an album you can turn on & ride from beginning to end like some cathartic journey. But this album, along with Imogen Heap’s Ellipse, have been tag teaming my iPod lately & commanding my attention.
